It was the dead of night, and the streets of Lautoka were eerily quite. We heaved out our overweighted bags from the boot of the taxi and pooled them together into a very large pile upon the rain soaked pavement. A flickering street light dimly lit the length of the waiting bus - a reassuring sight - we were late and it hadn’t left!

The mountain of bags before us was the reason we were here, about to embark on a 15-hour journey by bus to Savusavu, on Vanua Levu, rather than a more appealing 45-minute plane ride. Bags packed full of art material, heavy scuba, and underwater camera gear. Not as free and easy as we would prefer, but put two creative people together that spend most of their time underwater and inevitably, a massive pile of stuff is what you end up with! And there‘s a method to all this wing-clipping madness, we want to share with you our travel experiences. The people, wildlife and landscapes and how this inspires our videography, art and photography, and to do this, we‘re going to need an awful lot of stuff!
